About Us

I have two passions: food science, the industry in which I also work, and painting. I am from Guatemala, and my interest in painting started in my hometown, as there are normally street painters painting beautiful colonial houses and volcanoes landscapes in Antigua Guatemala. An art gallery offered some art classes, so I enrolled, but I could not regularly attend due to my work and university load (Food Science Engineering Degree). 

I married my husband, Robert, and we moved to Hawaii. In Hawaii, I also found some inspiration from the beautiful beaches and a local teacher. Through the years and places, we moved, such as St Louis, Missouri, Dallas, Texas, and North Carolina, I continued painting using books and local classes. Still, later I learned about the Bob Ross Certifications, and I fell in love with this style of painting and the principle that anybody can make their little world through painting. 

I became a CRI (Certified Ross Instructor®), which was so exciting, but even more exciting to share this technique with others to learn, have fun, and enjoy!
